Our museum began over 20 years ago with the acquisition of a fully functioning iron lung – still in the collection and still working.
Our museum room contains many unique and interesting pieces of equipment used in providing nursing care over the years. Some of these are priceless! Many graduates of the 1940s and 50s, will remember sterilizing needles in a spoon over the flame of a spirit or alcohol lamp. We have three in our collection, a large selection of instruments, two iron lungs, a vintage wheelchair and infant crib, just to name a few.
