Iron Lung: Dr. Ron Warnebolt at the 1993 Health Conference
Description
Dr. Ron Warnebolt (son of Jean Warnebolt VGH grad and asst. head nurse on B3- surgery) who developed polio in the early 1950s and spent many years in an iron lung at Pearson Hospital. He later progressed to a rocking bed by day and the iron lung at night. Health Conference display at Vancouver Convention Centre. The iron lung was in working order and was operated briefly each day.
